10. Turkey, Iran, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, Libya, Lebanon, Palestine, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Iraq viticulture vine varieties - "Matrix" viticulture.
These nations can boast significant viticulture, i.e., Turkey (460,000 ha), Iran (280,000 ha) and Egypt (65,000 ha) or with deep-rooted in tradition, such as Algeria (50,000 ha), Morocco (50,000 ha), Syria (60,000 ha), Tunisia (30,000 ha) and others we consider marginal: Libya, Lebanon, Palestine, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Iraq. These are countries where Islamic culture is prevalent or dominant, and production is intended for table grapes of dried grapes. As we have already said above, it is difficult to find reliable statistics, and we would like to ask colleagues from the sector to provide us with any data for updating the database.
